Dear Parents,
This week is National School Breakfast Week, with a
reminder from our Choptank Health providers of
the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in
fueling your students for success.
Choptank Health hosts a “Welcome to the Kitchen”
video series on YouTube, where you can find
affordable, nutritious recipes, including great ways
to start your day with recipes for overnight oats,
poached eggs, pumpkin oats, and more!
This is also a great time to remind parents of the
National School Breakfast Program and the many
ways it gives kids a great start every day. The
program serves more than 2.4 billion breakfasts to
children nationwide.
It’s never too late to register your student for
School-Based Health. For registration forms and
more information about medical, dental, behavioral
health, and nutrition services available for your
student, please contact your student’s health center
or go to www.choptankhealth.org/schoolbased.

Thank you, Dr. Simmons, for joining Ms. Moore's class for our Black History Month Scavenger Hunt. Everyone had a great time while learning.

Students in Mrs. Mills music class learned about African American string players this week. Then, they had fun trying out different instruments!

Winter Ball pictures are shipping this week. They will passed out to students on Monday, March 4th.

FES will celebrate Read Across America Day on Friday, March 1st. Students may wear their pajamas to school and bring a blanket or stuffed animal. We are excited to participate in this literacy event!

Today was Fabulous Friday and we had a "pop-up" drawing for students to enter who SOARed all day. Congratulations to Reagan Christopher! She was the lucky winner of a $20 McDonald's gift-card.

FES Family: As of this evening, the Town has identified the problem and it is being resolved. Our facilities staff will continue to monitor progress through tomorrow morning. If it is determined that we cannot open the school, that will be communicated to staff and families by 6:30 am on Wednesday morning. If you do not hear anything by 6:45, you may be assured that water pressure has returned and school is open. Once again, thank you for your continued patience and support.

Calendar Reminder: All schools and offices will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day.
