2nd grade students in Mrs. Todd's class joined with their 5th grade buddies from Mrs. Smith's class to work on making Christmas cards for local nursing home residents.




Staff & students met Friday afternoon for House meetings.









Mrs. Todd’s class making salads with the lettuce we grew in our classroom. This project was sponsored by Maryland’s SNAP-Ed program. Thank you Ms. Rena and Ms. Caitlin!!

We are all looking forward to seeing our FES families at the annual winter concert Wednesday evening. ☃️❄️

Students in grades 3-5 receive monthly social emotional learning lessons during Media, the lessons are co-taught by Mrs. Palenchar and Mrs. Simmons. Some topics addressed include social media safety, bullying, empathy and conflict resolution. Topics are selected based on school discipline & attendance data and student survey; lessons are within the guidelines for the American School Counselor Association.
